Refund & Cancellation Policy
When and how amounts paid to Omar Coder (Oman) for development, hosting or maintenance are refunded or cancelled — before, during and after development.
Version 2026-11-03 — updated November 3, 2026
1. Scope
Omar Coder — Omar Al-Ghafri, a software developer licensed in the Sultanate of Oman (business license No. L3949690). This policy explains when and how amounts paid through the website's payment gateways (Thawani, OMPAY/TruePay, PayPal) for project fees, instalments, domain fees, or hosting/maintenance subscriptions may be cancelled or refunded. This policy supplements the signed service contract. Where the signed contract addresses a matter explicitly, the signed contract prevails; the Arabic version of the contract is the binding one.
2. Cancellation before development starts
You may cancel a project before development starts. Amounts already paid are then refunded, except for lawful deductions that were previously disclosed to you and agreed in the signed contract or its annex — for example, work already performed at your request (such as analysis or scoping), or third-party commitments made on your instruction. Anything not covered by such a disclosed deduction is refunded.
3. Cancellation after development starts
If development has started, refund eligibility is calculated as the total paid minus:
- the value of work actually completed and accepted under the contract's milestone schedule;
- documented, previously disclosed expenses incurred for your project (for example a domain registered at your approval); and
- contractual obligations to third parties made specifically for your project.
4. After delivery and formal acceptance
After successful delivery and your formal acceptance of the project, additional refunds are discretionary and limited to the procedures in the signed contract. Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory rights regarding defects or non-conformity: the warranty and repair remedies stated in the signed contract remain fully available, as do your rights under Omani consumer-protection law.
5. Failure to deliver
If we fail to deliver in accordance with the signed contract and cannot remedy the failure within a reasonable time, you are entitled — as an appropriate remedy — to a refund of the amounts corresponding to the undelivered work, or to an alternative resolution agreed with you (such as a revised scope or timeline). Statutory consumer-protection rights are not excluded.
6. Hosting and maintenance subscriptions
Subscriptions renew per the schedule in the contract. You may cancel a subscription before the next renewal date; the cancelled period then ends and no further charge is due. Refunds for periods already invoiced follow the signed contract's terms. A charge taken after a cancellation you had already submitted is refunded in full.
7. Domain fees
Domain registration fees are third-party costs that were disclosed and approved by you before payment. Once the domain is registered with the registrar at your approval, that fee is not recoverable from us unless the registration failed.
8. Duplicate or erroneous charges
If a technical error caused a duplicate charge, a charge without service activation, or an amount above the agreed fee, the excess is refunded in full once verified.
9. How to request a refund
- Send a request through the support portal on this website, quoting the payment reference shown on your receipt (format EST-…).
- Include the reason for the request and, where applicable, the contract reference.
- We acknowledge the request, review it against the contract and this policy, and may ask you for brief clarification. We aim to complete the review and reply with the decision within five (5) business days of a complete request.
10. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment channel — the same gateway (Thawani, OMPAY/TruePay or PayPal) and, where the gateway requires it, the same payment method. The reversal is initiated by us once the decision is communicated; the time for the money to reach you then depends on the gateway and your bank or card issuer. Where the gateway's own rules govern refunds (such as Thawani's processing of same-day full refunds), those rules apply to the mechanics of the reversal.
11. Disputes
Please contact us first through the support portal so we can resolve the matter directly; raising a gateway or bank dispute before giving us the chance to resolve it slows the process for both sides. This policy and any dispute are governed by Omani law.
